Why we charge nothing until you get paid

Pricing

It's August. The courts are quiet, half the squad is on holiday, and the village hall hasn't had a booking in three weeks. But the booking software still wants its monthly fee.

For a lot of clubs, coaches and community groups, that's just how it works. You pay to use the system whether anyone books or not. If you're a volunteer running things in your spare time, that bill is one more thing to justify at the AGM.

We have built Polar Axis to work the other way round.

How it works

There's no sign-up fee and no subscription. When someone books a session, a court, a class or a room, they pay at the time of booking. Coach Axis takes 5% and the rest goes to you. Payments are handled securely by Stripe.

That's it.

Why we chose this

Most of the people we're building for aren't software buyers. They're the club secretary chasing subs, the coach doing bookings at 10pm, the committee member who took on the hall bookings because nobody else would. Asking them to commit to a monthly bill before they know whether something works felt wrong.

Charging only when you get paid also keeps us honest. We earn when you do. If Coach Axis isn't helping you take bookings and payments, it isn't earning us anything either. So it's on us to make it worth using.

Who it suits

Paying only when you earn makes most sense when your income goes up and down:

In a busy month, you pay a small share of what came in. In a quiet month, you pay nothing.
